Because our focus is on web development, we primarily host only clients whose sites we have developed. Why aren't we automated?Many hosting companies allow internet users to automatically pay for hosting and post a website without ever interacting with the host company. While this route is fine for small, non-commercial websites, it is dangerous for businesses that depend largely on their websites as a source of revenue. Automated hosts inherently become undependable as they grow because they cannot keep up with all the needs of their clients. Horror stories abound of host companies moving without notice, selling out without notifying clients, and out-sourcing tech support to India. As such, we have consciously chosen to limit hosting to clients who hire us to build sites. We can promise clients that we can take time for them because we know that we don't have to fear 10,000 calls in one day. |
